Plan Workplace Pensions

Complying with auto enrolment obligations.

Implementing auto enrolment involves more than setting up a pension scheme. It brings together several business functions such as human resources, payroll and pension administration.

For all companies it is essential to be aware of your obligations. These employer duties are designed to encourage more people to save for their retirement. They are detailed within hundreds of pages of legislation covering what the duties are, when they will apply and what happens if you do not comply with them.

So it is likely you will need the help of an expert to guide you through the process and make sure you meet your employer obligations. We are experienced pension advisers and can help you prepare for the changes.

Our service is designed to save you time and make the implementation of pension auto enrolment as smooth as possible. Specifically we can help with:

  • Setting up a new qualifying workplace pension scheme
  • Advising on how the new legislation will affect your business
  • Integrating the pension scheme with your existing payroll process
  • Submitting data to the new pension provider
  • Completing the Declaration of Compliance with the pensions regulator
  • Advising on effective and compliant employee communications

To date we have successfully guided several hundred small and medium sized businesses through the auto enrolment process.

On an ongoing basis we:

  • Complete the Declaration of Compliance with the pensions regulator
  • Complete pension scheme self-certification every 12 months where required
  • Carry out ongoing pension provider due diligence and prepare an annual pension scheme due diligence report.
  • Provide legislative and compliance updates – reducing the risk of non-compliance
  • Ongoing employer auto enrolment support
  • Provide new joiner / leaver support, including “An employee’s guide to pension auto enrolment” booklets for new joiners
  • Liaise with the pensions regulator in the event of the employer being chosen for a spot check.
